Montgomery County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking file. Contact the responsible sheriff, jail, police department, court, or corrections agency directly.

Start with the Right Office

Use the contact that matches the record you need. The county has no verified public Georgia jail roster, booking feed, or sheriff app. The sheriff's numbers below come from different official contexts, so keep their labels and call before sending a written request.

Where to Look for Each Record

Routing a question to the wrong agency can delay an answer. These links and descriptions keep the custody and case stages separate.

  • For someone just arrested or believed to be held, contact MCSO or Montgomery County Jail at 912-583-2521. Current custody cannot be confirmed here.
  • For an existing booking sheet or booking photograph, make a focused written request to MCSO and ask which address or channel currently receives Open Records Act requests.
  • For a Mount Vernon incident or arrest report, contact Mount Vernon Police Department. The police report is distinct from the county jail record.
  • For a Uvalda incident or arrest report, contact Uvalda Police Department and name the department because the civic address is also used for City Hall.
  • For Ailey municipal administration, contact City Hall. No Ailey police department was documented in the researched county agency inventory, so MCSO is the law-enforcement route.
  • For a filed court case, first appearance, bond, or disposition, use the Georgia Courts e-access directory or the appropriate clerk.
  • For state custody and a photograph when available, use the GDC Open Records Request route. For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator.

Before Sending a Records Request

Ask for an existing record, not a new summary. Include the person's full name, approximate date, arresting agency if known, and the exact file requested. A booking request can ask for the booking number, intake date and time, charges as booked, bond or hold information, release field, court assignment, and an existing photograph if releasable.

Georgia's Open Records Act generally calls for a response within three business days or a written explanation of timing, cost, and any statutory withholding. No Montgomery County photo fee or local turnaround was verified. Request electronic delivery and an estimate before costs exceed a limit you set. Include the compliance statement required by O.C.G.A. ยง 35-1-19 for a requested booking photograph.

Do not send Social Security numbers, financial information, or other sensitive material that the office did not request. Records staff are not an emergency service. Use 911 for immediate danger, and contact a lawyer if a warrant or court deadline affects a person directly.
